Saint John of God is known by many names. He goes by, Joao Cidade, Juan Ciudad, and Father of the Poor. He is the patron of hospital employees, and the physically and mentally ill. He was born Joao Cidade. As a young man he worked as a few things, such as a soldier, a shepherd,  and a traveling book peddler. At the age of about 43, he heard John of Avila speak of repentance. It was then that John had an epiphany. Joao gave what he owned, even his money, and was later hospitalized in the Royal Hospital in the psychiatric wing. Having a sad and dreadful experience there, he became dedicated to upgrading the hospital treatment there.

After being released, he was homeless and free from illusion. This helped him to develop a strong liking and attraction to the homeless and those who were no longer enfranchised.

Joao worked very very hard to help those who were sick and suffering from mental and physical illness. No matter how long it would take him to travel to get to them. He also helped those who needed shelter, with no where else to go. It was because of this that The Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God began. Running still to this day.

Joao would give what he could to help those in need. He opened up a facility and cared for those in need. He was known to counsel people, using bible versus as well. He helped to wash, feed, and then pray with those who entered his facility. People heard of this and were impressed by him. His dedication to help anyone. The lengths he would go through. People would donate and volunteer to help. It was those people who gave him the name of "John of God".

The dedication of the contributors and volunteers has helped John of God's mission to continue and spread  the practice of "hospitality".

John passed away March 8, 1550 of pneumonia, while in prayer after saving a man's life from drowning.

Mother Mary comes to me the moment I think of asking her for her guidance. And as appropriate, she comes to me when I'm in the shower. For her element is water. I always think of her when I see water. Water is the door in which she comes through for me. It leads me to believe that she has something to do with the fact that we have "Holy Water". I feel as though she has a major part in that. The creation of Holy Water. Anyone else feel the same? I simply ask her to bless the water that touches me or that I drink, and ask that she makes the water into holy water and to have the water bless me. To have heal me of anything she feels I need healing in. I ask that she restore my energy if I feel drained. And she always appears, and she always helps. I have a strong bond with her. For she is my Queen after all. She also tells me to straighten up....like a mother would! She keeps me on my feet and gives me strength. I feel she provides me with inner power....my inner goddess. When I feel I need help as a mother, she comes to me. Tells me to grab some roses, place them in the center of my home, and she will (using the roses) will spread her energy and energy of the roses throughout my home to bring in faith, a cleansing, rejuvenation, hope, positivity, love, and calming energies. Patient energies. It never fails. I always feel the love from her. As she heals me and my home.

The four Gospels that speak of her do not give much detail. The Proto-Evengelion of James speaks of her birth and childhood. Also, her adulthood. There have been much talk amongst scholars if they even agree with the texts though. New Age books describe her life based on findings through channeling.

The Gospels say that Mary lived in Nazareth, a small working class area. She lived with her husband Joseph, their son Jesus, and Joseph's daughter and four other sons from a previous relationship.

New Age writer's and authors feel that Mary may have taken baby Jesus to Qumran for a short time, and lived near the Essenes, where they both were taught about the mystical secrets of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Many people today and children, have seen visions of Mary in places like Fatima, Guadalupe, and Lourdes.

Mother Mary has been called "the Queen of the Angels," and her popular interactions with Archangel Gabriel during the annunciation definitely shows this title. The angels love her and work along side her to help spread miracles.

Mary is associated with children, and she counsels us to love, patience, intelligence, and wisdom in out parenting decisions. She keeps a close eye on the new "Indigo  and Crystal Children" who are to bring blessing, and  gifts of salvation to mother earth. Mary will guide and assist anyone whos life purpose involves helping children and will open doors to help.

Doesn't matter your religion or your past (good or negative), she will help, forgive, and she will love you. Signs of Mary's presence are sparkles of light blue lights around you and the smell of flowers. I get these all the time.
