Ma'at ( Egyptian)

(AKA: Maa, Maat, Maet, Mat, Maht, and Maut)

 

 

 

Ma'at is the Egyptian goddess of justice, truth, integrity, trust, promise, and with being fair. She is the wife of the scribe god, Thoth and daughter of the sun god, Ra. Ra had created his daughter, Ma'at, to be the perfect and pure example of integrity.

 

Her symbol being the feather, she uses with her 'Scale of Justice', to weigh how heavy the deceit or guilt, a dead persons soul may carry.

 

Her abilities are that, she can see through someone's motives. She can see the truth within people. If you were to lie, she could pick up on that lie and correct THAT PERSON as to what they are hiding and what they are trying to do by lying. She knows the truth. She knows when someone is not pure in their  intentions, actions, or words.

 

Ma'at is the perfect goddess to call upon for guidance when needing to stay true to yourself, to stay true to others, and to rid of any dishonest or manipulative people in your life. And, to draw in more honest and trusting people into your life. You can also call upon her to take away any lower energies/vibrations, and to rid of any negative energies or entities away from you.  I personally love her energy!

 

Calling upon her for her guidance when needing her help in a situation where YOUR actions and intentions are not pure, she will not support you, but will start the process of purification. You can always substitute the process by honestly making changes to your life style and engaging in rituals which will help you become a better person. If she sees this, she will help you with that.

 

Ma'at can also be asked for guidance and assistance when dealing with legal matters. She will help in providing justice, harmony, and honesty. She knows those with pure intentions, she will always help them.

 

Ma'at Helps With:

• Overcoming addictive behaviors and addictions.
• Mental Clarity
• Bringing understanding to those who are confused.
• Discovering the truth in others
• Discovering integrity in others
• Purification (in body and spirit)
• Protection
• Structure
